Unfortunately, the beautiful Lac de Chalain at Pentecost 2010, only 17 C water temperature.
The swimming pool of the campsite was up on a non-operational. The recreation area does not appear from hibernation. Sanitary facilities were modern, clean. Unfortunately, there was Wi-Fi antennas on the toilet blocks. Staff was friendly and helpful. A lot of Dutch and English but also German guests.

Excursion tips: Höhlen, Wasserfälle, Winzerstädte, Seeumrundung (11 km)

Wonderful place directly on the lakeshore

For the myriad of wonderful destinations in the vicinity is a car necessary. Shopping satisfies the well-stocked shop directly on the site with adequate opening times. Larger shopping centers are approximately 15 km in the city Champagnole (also open on Sundays). The landscape is beautiful and ideal for untrained directly from the site to bewandern. The place has a not exactly cheap self-service restaurant (not tried) and a snack (pizza, etc.). The fast-food pizza was not exactly my taste, which does not mean, because the dining stations were always good attended. The resort is located directly on the lakefront with sandy beach. The entire campsite is not fenced, which would serve the security (before long fingers out of and into the water covered by small children from the inside). Really disturbs the high fence, but really only if you from the site on the beach will look. The water is nice and clean and clear temperaturmäßig suitable for swimming. Two dozen ducks share the lake with the boats and swimmers. The staff is pleasantly friendly made an impression busy. At the reception, although no German, but with a bit of English to get a very good deal. The three Poole made a clean impression. The spa is a rectangular pool with seating area and nozzle integrated into the unheated pool in late August, that is more in the peak season use. At each place was grilled. Parking lots were mostly right on the square. The place is predominantly by Englishmen and Dutchmen posted. In September, many German. (Tip for bargain holiday!), We had bad luck with the mobile home. Inside the mobile home was totally unkempt, and looked verwohnt UNTRIMMED. The mattress smelled urine and after the remains of dead insects stuck everywhere. The states in the campground's own / other Mobilhomes beyond our knowledge. What bothered us yet: At almost every place in late August grew the hedges and trees, such as that, unfortunately, the complete view of the lake increased. Interesting for palfrey, the well-maintained washrooms and showers and dish washing stations.
A must for any visitor to the lake: the view from the top of the lake view from the resort (about 1 - 2 hours from the forest or other Seeende also reachable by car!) From. Simply terrific, and indescribably beautiful. Tip BBQ stuff and bring binoculars!

Ladies and Gentlemen
their system is quite expensive which is no problem, if anything, more or less perfect.
if the campground is full, the noise level is very high. so tomorrow morning to late evening. there is a space for people, the entertainment and action to be important. suitable for families with youngsters. it was noticeable that many people from the netherlands the space and attention accordingly dominate. the parcels are too small camper advised the shady trees are like the space for camper rather inappropriate. this space is not available for restless seeking, the staff enough to cope with mass tourism set.
pity for the location on the lake and the surrounding area, which is beautiful. the food is like the bungelow prices are too high when they are offered in relation to quality and occupancy situation compares.
all in all, less is better ...
