Camping wie es sein sollte

Review of Matthias from Thuringia / Germany, November 2016

Length of stay: 8-14 Days

Never ever!

** ** The unfriendly staff in the world!

** ** The unfriendly staff in the world!
The staff is incredibly unfriendly and rude. Information about the area and where the camp is all to be dealt with reluctance. Most toilets / showers are closed at the camp - only the main building is open. When questioned about the staff behave as if we would have known that the other buildings would be closed.
Moreover, it is not at a "wellness camp" - the sauna / swimming pool are open only from 13 clock - and only up to 8 clock in the evening, exactly when you gone. The staff reserves the right to open the pool at all, for several days. All this is indicated on the website.
Also closes the gate to parking lot between 12 und 14 clock (that is, you can not get out or in with the car), and from 22 clock (so if you come back a little later, you can not park at the camp).
Overall, the staff will have as little as possible to do with customers, as little as possible to be helpful, and that the facilities be used as little as possible. So much animosity you do not need to put up with. I would give the dune 6 "wellness camp" negative stars if it were possible.

So fast again ... non-

It was our honeymoon and we thought that we treat ourselves. Of the many recreational facilities, we have used not one that is not to make the opening times as a family with small child.
We had extra a pitch selected on the playground. The playground turned out to be a flop. In a total of 400 cars a kids playground with climbing frame, slide and two swings is really not enough. Not even ordinary sand was piled up there, our child looked when it came from there. But well, they also looked more like a chimney when it is running around on the pitch. Everything was black. I've never seen so often have to sweep out the trailer. Incidentally, the fine black dust came from some clothes out again.
Dogs are such a thing: The place is huge, but felt it was so that every dog has marked this place on the trees / grass on the playground.
Lack of boundaries to neighbors or to the path really lead to the fact that each one runs across the plot, regardless of age. Since owning a car than did nothing additional limitation.
The thing is with the entry and exit stops at certain times, so you can arrange themselves so, the plan is, yes, we have our car then went out Always be on other places is the same.
Close to the beach was ok, we were not so far away from the reception. But according to advertising, I would have imagined the path shorter.
Type of soil we had no problem personally, had very strong pegs, but the aforementioned drills could be heard more frequently, sometimes even at midday.
The toilets at the Hauptggebäude are well done, not so stubborn all in a row. But the capacity of toilets and showers was not enough for my liking and would have the cleaning staff can stop by once more. On toilet paper, it should now do not really lack. Shower cabins were nice, but it has nothing to do with wellness, when I start the first time after the shower has to carry the water outside the shower drain gene.
A big plus is the nice steak house on the square, where you can pick up his morning bread roll. In addition to various rolls, there were newspapers and freshly boiled eggs. And in the evening, the steaks were great.
My conclusion: We had better put our tried and true rather then taken place and 10 km to the beach in purchasing. The dune 6 sees us not soon. Maybe later in a ripe old age and without children.

The place is like a black sand desert. Our two children (8 and 2 years) were always right black feet, every passing vehicle leaves a cloud of dust;
Pegs you only get by force into the ground;
No choice at Reiserücktrittsversicherug, it is forced upon one;
Space is probably a total of a former army barracks, and has not lost its charm too;
Sanitary facilities including cleaning is ok but no hair dryer;
Baker place; Sole shop about 15 minutes away;
Bicycles strongly recommended;
Beach distance only 10 minutes walk along the fence; beach is worth it - is fully in the body;
Some live music into the night (we had to bear country to 0:30);
Staff is inflexible, schnipisch and unhelpful;
due to lack of paths, hedges or similar is running merrily through the squares of the neighbors in order to shorten the way;
Dogs are according to regulation on a leash, but the remains are found on the playground;
Cars at the tents at the playground are banned and yet they disturb the sleep and jeopardize the safety of children at play;
Damaged three of five gaming machines with coins - money it gave back;
No hose available at a central water supply,
Our conclusion: despite all honesty recommend to the beautiful environment is not! Value for money is wrong; within our 14-day tour of the worst place

Service ?!?!?!

I am this year, the third time been there. And I must say, the campground itself is fantastic. Unfortunately, every year of service become jerky and the prices have increased strongly. May be that the maintenance costs have increased ... but certainly not in the measure. Certainly are significant to note that a wide range of recreational activities are offered, just in case bad weather should be (sauna, swimming pool, gym, children's entertainment, etc). The fact that we had excellent weather and have not used these facilities, is certainly not the fault of the staff and is therefore not considered negative. Check-in and check-out is quick and easy.
But what really is a lousy service is the fact that even at 80% utilization not even any service building (which incidentally are in perfect condition (great plus was that) open). When I in 2005 or 2006 (I do not remember) was the first time there, all the buildings were open, although the campground just to 50% was occupied. In 2008, it already like this year: about 60-70% occupied but not open to all sanitary facilities. One has the impression that there are always money-horny and even cleaning the bathroom last building seems to be too expensive. And for this "service" I must say the prices I think are really exaggerated.
It is also my opinion, a boldness that one adjacent to the parking lot, which also still belongs to the campsite, on the departure day has another 5 € (in words: FIVE) pay if you want to park his car (no matter how long 10 min . or 10 hours) to jump around again quickly into the water that refreshes you can go on the trip home. Be honest, but for the prices there are ripped off for the campground, which should surely be free, for people who had pitched their tents there.
Our group had already proposed some years ago, at the rear end still install a revolving door, as the path to the beach through the entire camp and then again at the camp site is along at least 1 km. For people who like getting into a parking space near the front halve this distance equal times. With the door at the rear end of the square then all would have almost the same path. This door should be able to leave although the campground without a map, but only with the Health Card, which contains a chip to enter the place again. Technically, this would be relatively simple to solve, for me to work there is this technology for over 15 years. Somehow, however, seem to improve it either ignored or thrown directly into the trash to be.

My conclusion:
I will probably not camp there again so soon if there is not something fundamentally alter the services.

Once and never again

Review of Customer from North Rhine-Westphalia / Germany, January 2009
Language of the review:
Review is based on the year: 2008

We wanted to NRW in the summer with three couples shared a few nice days at the Baltic Sea coast.
The Well - Dune Camp 6 was the only plant that still had to make a reservation, (we had already distrustful make Müsen!). Also of note, when booking would be the conclusion of a trip cancellation insurance is mandatory, has surprised us initially.
What in the prospectus looked so beautiful, beach, green, and very good, was in reality not be nearly as increases.
Already at the arrival of anticipation was disappointment. First you drive through the beautiful town of Zingst and is supported by the industrial park headed to the campsite. Then you are in an infinitely long snake like-classified based on the inlet wait. The area resembles a Kasernenhof and was, as I have, however, only found out later, most times actually barracks. Tristes An industrial building on the left, behind a very untidy vergammelter sports industry with brown gravel. The queues continued at the reception continued, and now well you did leave and have nothing else before! Finally, we could then allocated our pitch start. Who expects green meadow, at the prices and in the assessment actually a matter of course, is unfortunately very disappointed. Harter gravel soil, partly grassed, will increases. A floor used for normal Häring early death. Later, I learned that there was probably at the front desk drills could borrow in order to penetrate the ground!
At the campsite was then a buying opportunity looking for but not found! At the reception, there was the resolution of the puzzle - there's really not. They pointed me to the nearby Edeka - the market, not 5 minutes from the Square.
Something positive, the market was really close to, but!
To get bread - queuing
to fetch drinks - queuing
for shopping - queue
and that, separately, all at the same time did not.
So the snake for classification purposes, we heard some comments from other guests, some loudly pointed out that the GDR, but even here now history and should be such that it remains no longer wish to accept, (which was still very polite manner! ).
After returning from the shopping, the first road to the beach. Yes that was something! The entire camping area has only one in-or output. And the lies just on the other end of the square, away from the Baltic Sea. So, over the whole camp back then on a groomed path on the outside of the fence along the beach. For disabled persons, my wife is one of them and has for so long distances on a wheelchair, an absolute disaster and should be in the camp evaluation times at least be nominated.
The beach is well known, but in the main season naturally frequented. Even at night it can be at the campsite too loud. The bass, the beach Disco - music was good to hear (we did not disturb, but older, restless seeking seniors might have problems there).
The next morning - on the shower and toilet facilities. Beautiful clean facilities but, as has been practiced, queuing was also announced here. For such a large area were clearly too few sanitary facilities.
Another shortcoming, but rather on the large camping site, I have only one station for disposal of chemical toilets discovered. That was definitely a fun for the immediately adjacent space users here! Due to the nature of the disposal station under the open sky and just as rough with palisades surrounded Sichtschutz, was a silent Dispose hardly possible. Here I would also want!
After a few days then the decision to prematurely as we travel, we like it just do not! So from the reception and communication, we proceed from one days more. Early departures were already wude said to me, but would have to be paid all booked days, that would be the way! On the cautious note, but we had a trip cancellation insurance, demand was terse: "If someone died or if they become ill?"
Since I could not respond positively, we finally have all the unused days mitbezahlt and then quickly leave the area.
Why I write that! I had not actually had the break in 'stupid gone' off. It happens to me as someone who on more than 30 years of camping experience can look back, not even often, so stupid to fall in.. But today we got mail from the Wellness Camp, a beautiful glossy brochure for the 'regulars' as you write it. In addition, I note: "I'm not a regular customer and I want it really will not!"

I was very happy here during peak season yet to get a pitch while all other sites were occupied. We (the pair 30) were there for a weekend and wanted to explore Darss. First, to the place, the term high-wing (for a speaker to quote) fits, because only one input and output and can use the entry and exit times for cars are heavily regulated. After we checked in we had to still have forever to wait groundkeeper to a place assigned. This was sometime angeradelt and told us, "well, yes you can see what is available. Make sure to stop wherever you want" => OK, that we would have done alone. Granted, the sanitary facilities are well designed and clean => but not sufficient for a large crowd.
Unfortunately, despite my Zingst abnormal high tourist tax is not really much to offer and there was bad weather, we wanted to make a boat tour. Unfortunately, the company concerned verseumt its potential customers about the failure of the trips from Zingst information. So we wanted to Prerow from the same tour - unfortunately we came but only after 12.00 on the clock at the campground to get to our car and we could (like 5 other vehicles at this time) to 14.00 clock no longer leave the premises. The reception was (according to the prospectus, despite continuous opening times) in exactly this period is closed. As a staff we wg. the man responded Toröffnunszeiten respond with either agreement ( "yes, we get to hear more, but is usually square) or with incomprehension (" It complained that hardly anyone, but would like to thank many of us for such a scheme ")! ? The fact is, about my leisure and my property (ie my car), I decide alone and certainly not the expensive place I have paid! The justification siesta is lagging because the vehicles so still on the premises may be rumgefahren and the sound system is equally shared!

Restraint

After I finally made a long weekend had me by my very busy week to relax and admire the beauties of Darss to explore the campground supervisor of Wellness Camp Düne 6 ES excellently done, my precious little free time to steal. When you have palfrey his car at the next exit is the parking area, but this is not checked, so that troops of youth, their car stereo than using schonmal the nocturnal resting place is. Furthermore, the barriers are in addition to the installations night also 12-14 clock closed so that an exit is denied his property and you can not use. Even ask that you neighbor by 14 clock to an offer Bodden tour wishes to just shrug was taken into account, and the protest of several cars that are now accumulated at the barrier were ignored. To follow was the whole day planning is lost and we could look at only a fraction. The man, however, with the on-site car is located would have a lot of restlessness confusion, it does not matter to the staff! No clean toilets in the world are worth it to lock it.
Those who complete their holiday at the campsite would like to spend, here is correct. If you are not feeling at the prison is, please do not go there!

Frustration Camp

The most promising from the description and clean facility on site rather reminiscent to a high security wing. Even the "charming" Welcome to the variants of incomprehension Brubbeln or for a change, even Anschnauzen makes the anticipation for the holiday destroy.
Is it well managed in the secure facility intrude, monitored every movement of the caretaker. Schön if the breakfast buffet they would receive care, for rainy days, there is a nice cafe. Here we encounter the truly charming baker's wife, with your ease completely alien acts between the frustrated and overwhelmed waitresses.
In keeping with this picture look a playground for children in vain. Suitable seniors must here give no noise. Hence the strict midday resting 12-14 clock, the one with the car the space is not allowed to leave - High security level. These are the rules is the convincing justification. Recommendation: prefer to Camp Rainbow

A top place to relax

Zingst is a holiday, as proposed by us (mid 50) is sought. Beautiful place, lots of cozy little restaurants at acceptable prices. Zingst is located approximately 10 minutes from the Bicycle CP away. A bicycle is urgently needed. Even the beach is, depending on the state space, 1500 meters. The indoor pool is ne brunt. " No "Pipiwasser" (around 24 degrees hot), so not very crowded. Optically very well done! The pitches vefügen over a heavily compacted subsoil, a drill may be required at any time at the reception. Large sites with all the connections, for the most part, however, still without a shadow (new plantings). Sports facilities at the plant, however, hardly any, but with the wheel to reach everything. Price performance ratio fits here.
A small drawback, however: while visiting our daughter with grandchildren, we found the baby very unpractical spaces, ie: changing table much too small, have been set up.
Even with the opening of the 5 sanitary facilities does the CP-line hard, sometimes there was congestion in front of the showers. Despite the notice, it was of the opinion that sufficient showers available stahen.
We certainly still come back. Despite the small flaws.

We had liked it very super and we are determined again wiedr.
One suggestion for improvement I have:
there is no space in which you can dry clothes (nassse towels, wet Jackenn or wet shoes)
Because it can sometimes rain ....

We drive again.

The ground is hard, gravelled by the old, demolished the barracks NVA, allows for the drainage effect even if not strongest rain that puddles or ponds around the camping unit. Sanitary facilities are exemplary. Investment is fully protected against unauthorized access and guarded at night! Shopping facilities in the immediate neighborhood of Edeka, therefore, is a shop on the square is not necessary. Walk to the Sea is about 800 m bearable. The place is very quiet, noise arises only if the camper does not even concerned with the general principles of coexistence with others and not able or willing to behave. To complain is that the indoor pool, with the superficial advertised, more than on the water and more cold than warm.

Pool closed

14 days holiday was the pool 1 x for 2 days and 1 x 1 day opened, then from 13Uhr. A morning swim in the bath was not possible.
The camp consists of subsoil Recylingbeton (highway or demolition of houses), hammer drill is needed.
Mostly little shadow, because still new.
The main house is washing tip, the other near the tent meadow are hopelessly overcrowded.
The distance to the beach at 5 minutes, is flattered. (Poor fathers and mothers throughout the children must drag stuff)
Shopping in the resort Zingst is quite possible, on the other hand Campingplatzist is not shopping there.
Overall, one can, despite some grievances recover. Unfortunately, the concept of wellness with visitors lured and do not properly compensated. For our young daughters, there was no leisure.
So look closely at whether you would like to vacation there.
