Place the strange Seniors

Review of camperlilly from Bavaria / Germany, October 2010
Language of the review:
Travel date: September 2010
Age: 40-49 years
Length of stay: 15-21 Days
Type of accommodation: Caravan (personal)
Booking: No previous booking

I can not judge how this place is in the high season (probably on the circumstances, not anderst), but attention: from 01 September fall like locusts over this strange Seniors space (it is from then that is very favorable). These senior citizens drive mostly giant camping cars (Concorde, Clou Liner ud) to make their own laws on (is not rinsed off, you canvas your dog, this can not wash hands, etc.,) to remain for at least 6 - 8 weeks , often until Christmas because it is always cheaper, yes. You use any of the space facilities, as the coffee's always down 70 cents and the bottle costs 20 cents Waser, but it always comes back (Wier are already 8 years here, as are the young people to do what we say.)
Now for the course: I have never seen such a desolate place. The toilets must be sealed with rusty nails, the toilet seat is often torn down. The showers are in a parlous state. Heise's water, there are more than every other day, and often only for those who go have a shower at 16 ° ° Clock.
There is no pool.
The beach is very dirty
The place is full of trash, not to mention the Umgebung.Direkt before the place is a dump and everywhere around the square is filth and dirt.
There exists a cleaning lady, but what is being cleaned remains a mystery.
On noise: In the morning at 7 ³ ° Clock is driving and rattle on the pitch without the reception would have been opened.
All in all can be said that Calabria is worth a trip, but never on this course.
Note: All figures in brackets are real quotes!
The only bright spot is the friendliness of the local staff

Excursion tips: la castella, corigliano, rossano

Our favorite place

Review of Günther from Bavaria / Germany, March 2010
Language of the review:
Travel date: August 2009
Age: 50-59 years
Length of stay: 15-21 Days
Type of accommodation: Caravan (personal)
Booking: Campsite/Tourist Resort

We're always driving in August 2004 on this place, then this place is a home for retirees. The animation ends in late August and the retirees want their peace and quiet. The beach is fantastic, the water is so clear and clean, the staff always available and very helpful. There are no water problems. Because of our Italian friends, we go at this time on the square. There are not many German in August, but maybe it is so beautiful. Our caravan is situated since 2005 on this course and then whenever we login, brought to a specific parcel. Shopping facilities are within 5 - 10 km enough, from discounters to large supermarket or corner shop - shop, everything is there. You only need a car, or a set of wheels. Although we were already on a number of campsites on the northern Adriatic Sea, they are more refined, bigger, but crowded. The access via the A14 will take longer, but it compensates life in Calabria. The whole family is eagerly awaiting the holidays 2010. My family:
My wife and I, and three youths aged 17 to 21 plus boyfriend or girlfriend

Toll to Overwinter

Review of papagei from Bavaria / Germany, March 2008
Language of the review:
Review is based on the year: 2008

A good place to Overwinter, however, extends not only a bike, a motorized base and one of them is necessary. The mountains nearby are beautiful, for most seniors with only a bike but unattainable. The place itself is very clean and maintained (Grade 1), however, what one of the closer or wider environment can not say. The environment of most locals think is still asleep.

Nice place, friendly staff

Review of Ernstl from Zurich / Switzerland, May 2007
Language of the review:
Review is based on the year: 2005

Very nice owners. However, speaking only Italian and English. Very nice wide beach. Beautiful than the pictures. "Port" (a ship in a week) in 1 km away. Very favorable position and good food. There are also several times a week traveling merchants, their goods are very cheap sale. Rear part shady place, front sun. This parcelling out NO! Space in abundance (July)! Plumbing simple but clean. Hot water throughout the day with normal pressure. The only "disadvantage": Through seclusion needed vehicle, as far from the nearest town.
