The Rea camp is excellent peaceful place with incredible sympathetic staff and unique scenery. The environment is beautiful – the camp is in a small forest on the beach – there are a lot of trees that throw their shadows and will allow you to take easier the hot Greek sun . The camp is separated into different cages with electricity and water for every tent/caravan and every cage is fenced with trees/bushes/oleanders. There are beautifully built playgrounds where children can have fun. The whole camp is clean and the staff is ready to help. The sand line is not that big, but still is big enough; it is separated into two different areas – one for yachts and boats and the other for swimming (the swimming area is very appropriate for the children – the water is warm, shallow, there are a lot of shells, hermit-crabs and for the first time I saw blue crab). Right next to the beach there is an eco zone. And on the other side of the bay there is a very nice fishing area.
Only 3 km up to the north is Ormos Panagias, where you may take a whole day trip around Agias Mount Athonos with a “pirate” boat. And about 2-3 km to the south is Vourvourou that has excellent small beaches especially the impressive Karidi beach with amazing bizarre oval rocks and calm water. 30 km to the south is Sarti, a resort with wide sandy beach where you can find a lot of people and many restaurants and shops. Between camp Rea and Sarti there are many small and beautiful beaches as Kavourotripes, Portokali, again with strangely beautiful rocks where every one must makes photo a session.
