Mocambo ist ein einfacher Campingplatz. Er hat wenige schöne Stellplätze unter Palmen auf einer Wiese. Dahinter ist ein grosser freier schotterplatz ohne Schatten , der auch für große Wohnmobile und Gespanne geeignet ist. Auf der anderen Seite schattige Stellplätze unter Baemen fuer kleine Wohnmobile oder Zelte. Alles ist nicht parzelliert. Die sanitaeranlagen sind ziemlich einfach. Warmwasser gegen gebühr. Spühlen ist leider nur mit kaltem Wasser möglich. Auf dem Platz ist ein kleines Restaurant, dass wenige aber sehr gute Sizilianische Gerichte zubereitet. Ist auch nicht teuer. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich. Zum kiesstrand muss man über eine anliegerstrasse. Diese ist nachts kaum befahren. Der Campingplatz eignet sich gut als Ausgangspunkt für Besuche nach Taormina, Catania und natürlich zum Etna.

Hi, my wife and I wanted to point out our misadventure on holiday so that others do not have our own problems.
We went on holiday in the province of Catania, Acireale and Fondachelli Mascali sea among other things because I am of them.
We booked a campsite specifying a pitch to have shade for the dogs.
They arrived the next day we changed camp.
For example on the site are soccer fields, beach volley, volleyball, laundry, marcket, etc.. Reached them you realize that means the football field there are only two old doors into the parking lot to in'esistente volleyball, beach volleyball and the beach but the beach is separated from the camp and pay the entrance to the . The photos on this site are at least 15 years old believe me because I lived in those parts, between the site and the record will find a huge difference.
Dogs are welcome on the site, arriving there in ten minutes you will be told over 20 times to watch the dogs and then if you have more than one as I think you have the itch!

We were in April 2008 for 10 days at the campsite. What we really liked, was the friendly staff and above all, the owner of the restaurant. Here you can really still true Sicilian, cheap and good food. Even our special requests (in the first week of opening were not all the dishes on the menu) we were met after a short registration. Bruno speaks very good German and his wife Irene is super cook. The toilets are very simple but they were ok since we Anfg. mid-April on the site were, for us it was very pleasant, that the place also a meadow without trees had. It was the sun with a view of the smoking Mount Etna enjoy it properly. If we take trips, etc. wanted to know, was the restaurant owner "Bruno" is always our contacts, we even free to remove bus stop 3.5 kilometers driven and has picked up. We really wanted just a few days left, but because everything fit so well it has been but 10 days and the departure was difficult for us.

With my wife and my son, this place for about 8 days inhabited, maybe not so modern, but incredibly comfortable, a top restaurant at extremely low prices, only one road that separated us from the sea, beach gravel, very clean, view of Mount Etna smoking, on the square huge eucalyptus trees as shade, have met nice people there, in the evening very cultured and calm, Washrooms could be cleaner and slightly more comfortable, but quite acceptable. Excursions fantastic, Taormina, Catania, Syrakusa, Etna, etc. .. All in all, a very favorable, very hot and beautiful camping holiday.
