Ideal for visiting Venice

Camping for visiting the city of Venice. It is 5 minutes walk from the departure routes "vaporetto" (every half hour) to the Piazza San Marco. A courtesy bus takes us to the beach (2km) and the port.
The campsite is very well organized, and upon arrival the staff gave us a booklet containing all information necessary for an excellent stay.
The toilets are beyond reproach, there is a supermarket and the site is quiet and not too large.
Campers mainly French and German at our passage.
Only negative point, the pitches are very straight lines under trees, which gives the impression of being cooped up ...

For people who can do without the camp pool, and Keep the fun it is optimal for the Co!
With free rental bikes you are at in a few minutes on a beautiful sandy sea beach.
The campsite is very quiet.
In the supermarket on the site it has everything you need as well (from the socket adapter on cosmetics to fresh food) at reasonable prices.
We had been there more often and are certainly one or the other time extend our summer there!

Very beautiful and well maintained campground with good water bus connection to Venice (about 30 min), even at night. Quiet and friendly atmosphere, highly recommended for trips to Venice and the lagoon.

BIG PROBLEM for Internet Service

Review of Maui from United Kingdom, August 2009
Language of the review:
Review is based on the year: 2009

At check in, I asked if the wireless Internet service was available all night long and they said yes. After return in the evening from Venice, it was a lot of hassle to get a Telecom Italia account but finally we were able to log-in at about 21:59. But at 22:00 when the restaurant closed, they cut off the power to their computer too! I know they turned it off because the wireless network could no longer be detected by my computer. So I paid 5 euros for what was supoosed to be 5 hours of access and only got 1 minute of service. The next day, the people at the registration desk were not kind, claimed no knowledge, and would not admit it was their system's error. So no refund or complimentary access was given.
The camping was fine. Adequate sized pitch seperated by bushes, clean flush toilets, hot showers. The ferry terminal is an easy 700 meter walk if you miss the shuttle (it goes twice an hour; finishes at 19:00). The beach is 2 km away so shuttle is essential for that access.
We are from USA which is not listed as a choice on the camping review writing page.

We were last year, the second time in this camp, we are very excited because it is very quiet (ideal) for baby and toddlers! The beach is a little further away but a shuttle runs every half hour, but he is also well within walking distance! The ferry system is not too far away and a trip to Venice, Burano and Murano is highly recommended! Anyone who seeks peace in his camping holiday times, it should try there! We will come back safe!

Goods at the end of September there. Proximity to the ferry to Venice, about 700 m. If a shuttle bus provided. Otherwise, you can also run well. Anyone who travels by bicycle and there is distinct, it should easily degradable parts at the campsite, because otherwise they have very quickly dismantled.
The campsite was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Every time.

Ideally located close to the boat for Venice. Shuttle system designers to go to the beach. Nice to have free bikes.
No pool or animation and taciturn receipt.

the glory of arriving in Venice every day . . .

Review of Dusty from Greater London / United Kingdom, December 2007
Language of the review:
Review is based on the year: 2007

I had a wonderful time at Camping Miramar, one week in May 2007. My first 2 nights in a tent, but due to my physical condition (I'm 68) I decided to move into a small clean and quiet cabina with kitchen, a short walk from exceptionally clean and modern washroom facilities, hot showers, laundry, etc. Secure parking at my door. A small minimart onsite. A few reasonable and good restaurants 2 minutes away, one right next door. A short and scenic drive away are pharmacies, banks and supermarkets. Every morning a pleasant walk - 10 minutes - along the waterfront took me to the little ferry that leaves frequently for the fabulous ride to the heart of Venice. A cappucino spot and restos at the dock. A great way to start each day, since arriving in Venice by water is the only way to go. The ferry docks about 3 blocks from Piazza San Marco. Ride back with the sunset . . . perfect. And very reasonable. I will be back in 2008.
I am from Costa Rica, originally Canada, but that choice not available below!!!
