Good service, unfortunately desolate sanitation

We were with our caravan in the countryside very beautiful place.
As a windsurfer on the situation Salzhaff is very good. Directly from the bed onto the board, something one wishes. The service from reception was on the briefing room until the adoption of very friendly and accommodating. The square is a supermarket offers enough shopping opportunities, from fresh bread to camping requirements. There is also a fish sampling at the site, which is recommended in between for the hungry.
In a dilapidated condition, unfortunately, were the sanitary facilities all together. Few showers work, they are often not clean to want to leave the toilets in containers left, everything just simply out of date total. It also does not help across the smart card system of the shower units, etc. are settled. The expected conclusion of an unfortunately bad if you want to dispose of the chemical toilet! - This is not unbearable and after a shower is recommended. A new house is access to information under construction. When this is done and all the usual disposal facilities exist then this error is corrected. Optimal would be a better Park-/Anhaltemöglichkeit for sidecars. There is no turning area, or similar, elaborate maneuvering is just a big bed in exchange not spared. Still a nice place to for a few days to enjoy nature.

Excursion tips: Rerik, nettes schönes Örtchen mit Flair

Great for short stays in a tent!

I've done recently with some friends and my family a short break at the campsite "On Salzhaff. We have come with two tents and were warmly welcomed and briefed nice. We were told everything you need and if there was a problem was it ever found a solution. The plant is situated on the waterfront. It is very quiet and surrounded by nature. There is a small covered market, but offers only the most necessary and not very modern. There are but a small snack, a large selection. The service was super. The Santiäranlage were very small and also, unfortunately, not very clean, which was cleaned regularly. There were a total of six showers for the entire place, but oddly enough we never had to queue. There is also a further container with a "real estate sanitary facility". But it is growing in a work that is almost finished and will be opening soon. The place has its own small beach area, but which was not very nice because there were a lot of algae. That could go very far without which it was deep, which is recommended for families with children. For the children there was also a small playground and an entertainment program. In the area there are many different destinations, such as cooling Born (there is also a beautiful large sandy beach). Otherwise the site is located rather quiet, is in the immediate vicinity there is only a few small villages. We camped in the "Grove". There was plenty of shade and space for all and that was in my view with the nicest part of the campsite.
Conclusion: Long-lasting holiday there, I would not do, because simply not enough going on, but fun for a short holiday with tents or caravans ok.

Nice vacation at a bargain price

I had a wonderful time, camping on Salzhaff and have spent with my family for a relaxing stay. In the residents kitesurf school I attended a course.
The proper place for the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The new spacious showers in the newly opened service building we all liked very much.
On the ground I is not the only kitesurfing school but also a small shop with snacks and even a fishing where you can get fresh fish, smoked fish and fish sandwiches.
All in all the deer stay was very nice and I'm going down again this year.

Cottage to rent-never again!

Review of andreas from Berlin / Germany, May 2008
Language of the review:
Review is based on the year: 2008

We were there on Pentecost. The perfect weather and the surf was great.
Less good was our accommodation: Cottage in Rostock at the campsite. First, we had a lot of insects, including rattles, etc. ladleful of mattresses and floors removed. On the ground we would have slept better than on the foam mattress. The ground we wanted to enter only with slippers and unlikely to sleep. We had a hellish morning back pain. When hired bed linen towels were missing the ball. In front of the house fell with the chair in the camping ground. The mosquito nets were torn, it is a lack of pans, large pots, can opener and Nudelsieb .... And clean the cabin was definitely not.
Have all the owners out and he said "Well, they tell me, I will forward it!" Hello?
We are equipped with bike arrived from Berlin and had "Thank God" in Neubukow some, a few fresh things before. The "supermarket" on the spot offered only canned food and cold drinks etc.. Yes, there is fresh bread. Restaurant on site or near-no!
The price per night / hut: 59, - Euro!
Today in Berlin, just a lot of fresh vegetables and bought ALL clothes put into the washing machine.
Tip: if you like surfing: next to the campsite, the holiday camp "san pepelone" and here we are now einmieten! Sure it's expensive, but the quality of housing is not proportionate to the chalet at the campsite.
