The campground is located Birkelt Müllerthal in the region, also called Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. This region is scenically very beautiful with amazing rock formations, rivers and valleys. This makes them ideal for all nature lovers and invites eg cycling and walking. There are also numerous castles, such as the Château de Vianden (Vianden Castle, www.castle-vianden.lu) in about 20 km away. My tip: With the chair lift over the river on our drive up the mountain, then walk down to the castle and finally back through the beautiful old village. The Sesselift beats for four people with 9 Euro Beech, the castle costs 13 euros. Shops and numerous restaurants, including Italian and Chinese are there in Mersch in about 10 km away. We were in the restaurant Pizzeria Castello (www.castello.lu) and the pizza there can be 100% recommend.

My tip: The Special ricotta pizza tastes super delicious. The price was 8-12 euros per pizza is not low, but adequate for the quality. In Larochette themselves, there is no supermarket. The environment gets me is why 5 out of 5 stars.

The facility itself is very quiet geleben, slightly above Larochette. At night, it was really quiet and super relaxing. The name comes Birkelt determined that the campsite is mostly overgrown with birch is - so be careful Birkenalergiker ;-) The place was shady, for me, almost a bit too much. The toilets were clean, there was free hot water, soap and toilet paper, in contrast to the campsite, which we had previously visited. The Santärgebäude sprayed a 80s charm, but as I said otherwise topp. At the entrance there is a small shop for the needs in between. The nearest supermarket in Cactus Mersch is about 10 km away and offers a very good choice. The reception was at the check-in and check-out very friendly and spoke German. At the campsite there are many mobile homes and rent as I could see a few permanent campers. Overall I give the Appendix 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The pitches are partly a slight slope, but otherwise is sufficiently large with power supply but without water. The parcels are covered by crop rows slightly separated. The places I give because of the slight slope, the lack of water supply and the somewhat lush shade 4 out of 5 stars.

The leisure facilities are very good. Even in the off-season at the end of May, there were daily Kinderanimation 10-12 clock. Unfortunately, the children's animation somewhat repellent to our children, which is certainly something in the language was, as the entertainer niederländlisch and just spoke German. The beautiful swimming pool is about 25 meters long, has no water slides and children's pool, but to go completely out of rage. The trick is that the indoor pool in the summer can be up to the outdoor pool and thus mutates. Admission is free for camping guests. There are also one or more very nice playground, climbing wall and even Nestschaukel and two very popular and heavily frequented trampoline. Other recreational opportunities such as a beach volleyball field, a football pitch and a mini golf course, but it was something dirty. All in all, in clear Leisure 5 out of 5 stars.

We have in the season for 3 nights with a caravan, car and 4 people paid about 87 euros, which I considered very cheap've felt. Because of the individual results and for me very cheap performance, I can clear the camp Birkelt weiterempfehlen.
